Staff v Members Football Match

Following on from the last Staff v Members match, the Staff were determined to make up the defecit, losing to the Members 8-9.  However it was a slightly different format due to the high turnout of Members up for the challenge, meaning there were 3 teams of 6 playingto 2 goals , with the winner staying on.

The first game was between Members 1(M1) and Members 2(M2), which started with M1 taking control and the lead very quickly.  M2 managed to get back into the game grabbing an equaliser.  M1 then took control once again, not allowing their opponents any possesion or territory, leading to them scoring the winning goal.

It was then time for the Staff to pay their first match against M1.  It took a little time to get into the groove, resulting in M1 taking the lead.  The Staff then settled in to the game and equalised.  It became a very cagey affair with neithet team having many attempts on goal, until M1 made a quick break and securing the winning goal.

M1 then beat M2 again, and the next game was Staff v M1 again, and this time the Staff had a game plan, putting on a great show and winning 2 - 0.  The Staff went on to win the following 3 games.

M2 team then left leaving a final match between M2 and Staff to play for victory.  The youth of the Staff team gave them an advantage with their fitness and stamina, allowing them to dominate and go on to wim the final match!
