Join us in support of our member Fatima Whitbread MBE fundraising efforts for Action for Children!
Our longstanding member, Fatima Whitbread MBE is currently climbing the breath-taking Gran Paradiso summit in Italy, fundraising for the Action for Children charity, ‘Star in Every Child’ campaign.
With an elevation of 4,061m climbing the Gran Paradiso is definitely not a walk in the park, but it is for a good and worthy cause.
In support of Fatima’s efforts we here at Better Gym Brentwood will be hosting a “Have a coffee” morning on Wednesday 31st August 8am-12pm.
On this morning you will be welcome to grab yourself a coffee, tea or snack for a small donation to Action for Children.
Action for Children is a UK based charity organisation that works to provide:
- Food, clothes and essentials to children in crisis.
- Protection and recovery to child victims of abuse and neglect.
- Tools for young people to look after their mental health.
- Support for parents going through a tough time.
Last year they reached more than 600,000 children, but there are still so many more children, whose lives are made that little bit easier from the support received through donations from people like you!
Fatima, through her own personal experiences recognises the importance of growing up in a secure and happy home which is why she is so passionate about making sure children have safe and happy childhoods.
