Have you ever thought about introducing something new into your exercise routine? If so, we have an exciting new addition being added to our workout timetable that we think you are going to love! Commencing Thursday 10th March, here at Better Gym Brentwood we have a Pilates class with a twist.

As well as being guided through the traditional Pilates exercises during the hour long session, our instructor Lisa A will also introduce the use of various equipment such as resistance bands, core balls and Pilates rings. This twist on our Pilates sessions will create some additional resistance with each move which will in turn challenge the body that little bit more. If it’s results you’re looking for, this is the class for you.

It’s no secret that Pilates in general is a great form of exercise for everyone - whatever your age or current ability. Below is just a small list of the mind and body benefits you can experience with regular Pilates classes:

  • Improves posture and mobility, including flexibility of the spine
  • Promotes a more efficient and supportive core
  • Builds better balance and coordination
  • Focuses on movement and breath, encouraging meditative states
  • Through proper breathing techniques it charges blood with oxygen 

With an emphasis on strengthening the core this type of exercise is gentle on the joints whilst still giving you the feeling of an intense workout, perfect if you are on a mission to hit goals that include building muscle, improving flexibility, loosing body fat and generally improving your cardiovascular health, what other reason do you have to not give this class a go! 

Pilates with Lisa A will take place every Thursday from  12.30pm - 1.30pm so make sure you secure your space via the Better Uk app or our webpage.
