Leisure Pool Improvements Coming to The Sovereign Centre, Eastbourne

As your local leisure operator, we’re proud to be part of the Eastbourne community helping residents stay active, healthy and connected. This month marks six months since we began operating at The Sovereign Centre, and we want to thank our customers for the continued support.

Temporary Leisure Pool closure this winter

After a successful reopening earlier this year, the Leisure Pool at The Sovereign Centre has been enjoyed by hundreds of families throughout spring and summer. To keep the pool in great condition for years to come, it will temporarily close from Monday 3rd November for essential winter maintenance and improvement works.

Working in partnership with Eastbourne Borough Council, we’ve planned these upgrades for the quieter winter months to minimise disruption. The Leisure Pool will reopen on Saturday 14th February 2026, ready for another exciting year of family fun and swimming.

Customers can continue to enjoy the pool until Sunday 2nd November, so there’s still time to make the most of it before the works begin.

Learner Pool stays open

During this period, the Learner Pool will remain open with extended public swim sessions and no disruption to our Swim School or adult Swim Doctor sessions.

Stay active at The Sovereign Centre

While the Leisure Pool is closed, customers can can still enjoy everything else The Sovereign Centre has to offer including the Gym, Fitness Classes, Sauna and Steam Room, Sports Hall, and Café.

As a charitable social enterprise, we’re committed to reinvesting in local facilities and improving community wellbeing across Eastbourne.

Stay tuned for updates on the Leisure Pool improvements and reopening date in February 2026.
