BETTER ARE SUPPORTING CARERS ACTIVE APRIL
Throughout April we are proud to be supporting Carers Active April. The main aim of the campaign by Carers UK is to support unpaid carers to be more physically active.
As part of Carers Active April, we are encouraging carers to join us for a free Carers Welcome Day. This will be a chance to have a tour of your local centre, meet other carers and try a free activity.
As part of the session you’ll have the opportunity to discuss the wide range of memberships and activities available to you, while enjoying a cup of tea or coffee. Whether it’s in our gyms, pools or fitness classes, there’s bound to be an activity you love.
Carers Welcome Days
Monday 17th April from 10.00am-1.00pm at Waddon Leisure Centre
A free Zumba Basics class from 10:15am – 11am is included. This dance class is perfect for people starting their fitness journey, seniors & anyone looking to build confidence as they return to exercise. And / or A free Swim for Fitness session from 11am – 12pm. Our Swim for Fitness sessions take place in slow, medium and fast lanes, so you can take things at your own pace.
Thursday 20th April from 9am – 1pm at New Addington Leisure & Community Centre
Choose from: A free Legs, Bums and Tums Class from 9.15am -10am, A free Group Cycle Basics Class from 10:15am – 11am, A free Zumba Basics Class from 12pm – 12.45pm and A free Swim for Fitness session from 11am- 12pm.
The free activity is optional, if you wish to attend simply to find out what the centre has to offer you are more than welcome to do so. To book your spot or for more information, please contact us using the link below.
Membership Offer
From 17th April-14th May we have a special membership offer for members of Carers UK and/or people who receive carer’s allowance. The Better Health Carers UK membership will cost £30 per month DD and give anytime access to gym, swimming, fitness classes and Health Suite across the Better leisure centres. Discounts on other activities and priority booking is also included.
