This is no normal flume! The flume lets you choose from different themes, play different games and compete with others as you slide down to give you the ultimate experience.
Play
Did you know you can play games on the flume at the New Britannia Leisure Centre? During the ride, reflexes are put to the test as you try to hit the touchpads at exactly the right time. You can view their score, ride time and high score of the day.
Compete
The flume at the new Britannia Leisure Centre makes everybody compete with each other. Compare your best time with others and try to be the best of the day. If it’s not the best score, then try again.
Experience
The flume lets you choose from different themes as you slide down to give you the ultimate experience. You could choose shades of blue can be used to give you the feeling that you are sliding through the ocean.
Flume Rules
- Maximum operational load 110kg
- Children under 8 years of age and under 1.2m tall are not permitted on this ride
- Children must be competent swimmers to use this ride
- No jewellery or goggles are permitted on the ride
- Only one adult or one adult with one child are permitted on the start platform
- Riders must follow the traffic light system
- Riders must wait for the green signal before starting the ride
- Riders should not enter until signal is given
- Riders should push off slightly using the handrail
- Slide must be ridden feet first, sitting or lying on your back with your legs held together
- Do not cross your legs while going down the slide
- Never form chains
- Do not run, dive, kneel, rotate or stop in the slide
- Do not attempt to slow yourself by grabbing or holding the sidewalls with your feet or hands
- At the end of the slide, obey all instructions and exit quickly
