New Swimbies Classes at Glass Mill Leisure Centre.
Glass Mill Leisure Centre has launched new Swimbies Swimming Lessons every Friday morning.
To grow our Swim School and meet the needs of the local community Glass Mill Leisure Centre had launched new Swimbies swimming lessons.
What is Swimbies?
Are you wondering when you can start taking your baby to swimming lessons? Our children and baby swimming lessons span from 3 months to school age. Our swim programme (called SWIMBiES) is the perfect way to help your child build confidence in the water that lasts a lifetime.
As a parent, grandparent or guardian, we encourage you to join your little one in the pool to share their first splashes. Our baby and infant swimming lessons are led by experienced and qualified swim teachers who will guide you and your little one every step of the way.
The new lessons at Glass Mill Leisure Centre run every Friday with the exception of a break over Christmas. The timetable is as follows
- Swimbies (Dippers) 3-12 months: 9.30am–10am
- Swimbies (Splashers) 13–24 months: 10am–10.30am
- Swimbies (Paddlers) 2–3 years: 10.30am–11am
- Pre School 3–5 years: 11am–11:30am
All of the above lessons require an adult in the water.
Lessons will be taught by Danny, who has recently gained his Parent and Baby qualification as part of our ongoing commit to upskill our work force. Danny started working at Glass Mill Leisure Centre as a Lifeguard but has moved into Swim Teaching. Danny teachers Schools and lessons throughout the week and is one of popular teachers.
As Better who run Glass Mill Leisure Centre is a staff led Charitable Social Enterprise one of our commitments is to not only reinvest back into the buildings but also into our workforce. Danny has been one of our team members who has benefited from this, first gaining his Swim Teacher qualifications and now his Parent and Baby qualification.
