Team Lewisham Needs You!

We are looking for older adults to represent the borough at this years Club Games. We need older adults, those aged 60+ to represent the London Borough of Lewisham in the following sports:

• Swimming
• Table Tennis
• Badminton
• Darts
• Short Tennis

We need swimmers to take part at Glass Mill Leisure Centre on Thursday 18th September, between 10am-12.

The swimming event will comprise of refreshments and a warm up, followed by a 45 minute timed swim which will take place against the London Borough’s of Greenwich and Croydon, with the total number of lengths swam going towards Club Games swimming competition being held around the capital on the same day.

Post event their will be an instructor led warm down and refreshments.

If you know of anyone who swims regularly aged 60 or over and wishes to take part then get them to email matthew.houghton@gll.org 

We are also on the look out for keen Table Tennis, Badminton and Short Tennis players to represent the London Borough of Lewisham at the main Club Games event at the Copper Box Arena on Wednesday 1st October. Again, if you know of a parent or grandparent who regularly takes part in these activities please do get in contact with us. These sports are played as Mixed Doubles, so we’ll need a female and male player to represent the borough in these sports.

If you have a relative who is part of a Darts team, then we also need Darts players for this event, the Darts will also take place at the Copper Box Arena on Wednesday 1st October. For Darts we need One team of 4 players any gender 6 players may be nominated, Four to play in each match.
