We are very pleased to announce that new equipment will be arriving in the gym this month! In response to member feedback the following machines have been ordered and are due for delivery in February:

Hack Squat

From Technogym's Pure Strength range, this machine is perfectly designed to allow gym goers to perform multiple variations of squats and lunges thanks to an extra-large foot platform, footrest for single leg use and Hack Squat’s special height. Apply your weight to make the exercise as heavy or light as you need.

The machine is extremely easy to use, and is much safer and more stable than other squat exercises. You won’t need to worry about keeping balance or moving the weight in a certain path – the machine takes care of all that. The stability of the machine means that you can focus fully on your working muscles. For many, this is hard to do in more complex free-weight exercises like the barbell squat.

The Hack Squat is the perfect tool for glute, adductor and hamstring development!

Hip Thrust

For those who are looking for laser-focused glute and hip flexor training the Technogym Pure Strength Hip Thrust is the machine for you.

When you’re looking for a great exercise to work your glutes and upper legs, hip thrusts are a perfect addition to your workout routine. While you can do them with your body weight or a barbell, using a dedicated Hip Thrust machine keeps you stabilised and safe.

Glute strength is important for the stabilization of your core, pelvis and lower body. Without it, you’re at higher risk of knee pain, lower back pain and other types of injuries, and the Hip Thrust machine is ideally designed to help target this key muscle group for maximum benefit.

Stairclimber

A gym favourite - the Technogym Excite Climb takes stair climbing to new heights! While stair climbing is well known for targeting the glutes, it’s actually a fantastic total body strength workout and is a fantastic form of cardio training, as you are constantly working against gravity, allowing you to do more for your heart health and burn more calories in less time than other forms of exercise.

When compared to other cardio exercises such as running, stair climbing is also relatively low-impact. This means that it does not exert as much force on your ankles, knees, and hips, which can help them stay healthy over time. This also means it can be a great option for those who are older or recovering from injury.

This will be our second Excite Climb machine and will sit side by side with the existing one, so is perfect for those who want to train with a friend!
