As a charitable social enterprise, we're committed to improving our services in your local community to make them even better. That's why we're letting you know that as part of an £2.3 million pound investment into into Leytonstone Leisure Centre, Waltham Forest Council will be carrying out a full replacement of the roof over the next year.
Works will begin from Monday 16th October and during this time there'll be a slight disruption to our usual services, but don't worry we're committed to keeping you moving.
What's changing?
On Monday 30th October, works will begin to replace the roof in the functional gym area, and so during this process, this area will become unavailable to members. But don't worry - alternative arrangements will be offered so that no matter what, you'll always be able to incorporate functional activity into your workout.
To Allow for works to continue, the main entrance of the centre will be temporarily closed from the 8th-22nd January and you’ll be asked to enter via the soft play fire exit signage will be in place to direct you and our team will be on hand if you have any questions
Following the main entrance work, the team will be moving into the soft play, which means from early February the soft play will be temporarily closed for 7 days. Rest Assured well ensure the soft play re opens before the February half term so your little ones can enjoy some school holiday fun
Signage will be posted around the centre to help you locate the equipment you're looking for, as well as our friendly staff who'll also be on hand to help. We'll be sure to contact members with any important updates or news, including an expected completion date over the next few months.
