Summer Open Weekend 19th and 20th July
We are delighted to announce that we are running an open weekend this summer.
Whether you're a first-time visitor or someone who has been curious about joining our community, we're thrilled to show you what we have to offer. Our sports Centre is all about promoting health, fitness, and well-being for individuals and families of all ages and abilities.
We offer a wide variety of facilities and services, including:
A large range of gym equipment
Swimming pool (Both small pool and main pool available)
Group fitness classes (like yoga, cycling, and Les MILLS)
Sports courts (for pickleball, badminton, and more)
Personal training services to help you meet your fitness goals

How do I book?
To book our open day activities please visit the Open Weekend Tab when booking and select the date you would like to attend. Please note the Swimming Options will be bookable under swimming tab.
What do the classes involve?

What do I need to bring?
Please wear comfortable and appropriate clothing for all classes and sports hall activities; equipment is provided. Please make sure you bring a towel and water with you.
What if I have a health condition?
Please make sure you let the members of staff know about any health conditions prior to activity.
What if I have never been before?
If you're new to any of the activities or unsure about using certain equipment, feel free to ask one of our staff members. We’re here to guide you. If you’re using the gym or taking part in any physical activities today, please ensure you’ve warmed up first. If you need guidance, our fitness instructors are here to help.
Do I have to be a member?
No, our open day sessions are open to everyone. Non-members can participate by creating a free account via the app or online at https://bookings.better.org.uk/register, then simply booking an available open day activity. As part of the registration process, customers must agree to the activity terms and conditions, which include a signed waiver granting access into the centre.
What should I expect from each class/activity?
Open Day Gym Taster Session
Duration: 90 minutes
Description: Kickstart your fitness journey with a free trial of the gym. Staff will be on hand to demonstrate machines and advise on the best ways to achieve your fitness goals.
NB – Inductions will not be required - T&Cs will be agreed to at the point of booking. Staff should be on hand to assist customers
Open Day Adult & Junior Gym Taster Session
Duration: 90 minutes
Description: Kickstart yours and your child’s fitness journey with a free trial of the gym. Staff will be on hand to demonstrate machines and advise on the best ways to achieve your fitness goals.
Inductions will not be required - T&Cs will be agreed to at the point of booking. Staff should be on hand to assist customers
Open Day Strength and Conditioning Master Class
Duration: 30mins
Description: Build muscle and feel better with our Strength and Conditioning classes. Experience great, motivational group exercise classes like Legs Bums and Tums and Circuit Training that’ll help you strengthen and condition your whole body. Experience a few of the disciplines in this Strength and Conditioning Master Class.
Open Day Mind and Body Fitness Master Class
Duration: 45mins
Description: Feel better inside and out with our Mind and Body group fitness classes. Build your strength and flexibility in our lower-impact classes like Pilates and feel revived and relaxed with our mindfulness-focused sessions, such as Yoga. Experience a few of the disciplines in this Mind and Body Master Class with our body balance taster class.
Open Day Social Badminton Club – Juniors
Duration: 60 minutes (Two 30 minute sessions)
Description: Our Junior social badminton sessions are a great way to have fun and stay healthy whilst making new friends. Whether you’re picking up a racket for the first time or just looking for a casual hit, social badminton is the perfect way to stay active and connected. Equipment will be provided, 8 - 15 Years.
Open Day Social Badminton Club - Adults
Duration: 60 minutes (Two 30 minute sessions)
Description: Our Adult social badminton sessions are a great way to have fun and stay healthy whilst making new friends. Whether you’re picking up a racket for the first time or just looking for a casual hit, social badminton is the perfect way to stay active and connected. Equipment will be provided, 16+ Years.
Open Day Social Pickleball Club - Adults
Duration: 60 minutes (Two 30 minute sessions)
Description: Try our social pickleball sessions, a fun way to stay active and meet new people. With its easy-to-learn rules and sociable pace, pickleball is perfect for all ages and abilities. Come along and discover why it’s one of the fastest-growing sports around. Equipment will be provided, 16+ Years.
Family Fun Swim
This will be a general swimming session with floats and toys available in the pool. (Swim Safety Rules Apply)
Kids Swim for £1
This general swimming session with floats and toys available in the pool. Select the Swim for all session at 9:30 Sunday morning. (Swim Safety Rules Apply)
