Things to do in the Summer with the Family

When the school holidays roll around, that means there’s plenty of time for some summer family fun. That’s where Better comes in.

From exciting Aqua Splash sessions at a pool near home to trampolining at your local leisure centre, you’re sure to find something to make it a summer to remember. Plus, with a range of holiday short courses and day camps, there’s loads to keep the kids occupied over the break, no matter what activities they enjoy.

Here’s our pick of things to do in the summer holidays with kids:

Water-based summer activities

Boasting a number of swimming pools, lidos and outdoor swimming facilities nationwide, you can take to the water with your whole family this summer.

For younger kids, some of our pools have flumes, slides and wave machines, meaning it’ll be smiles all round, whatever the weather. Your child can also take part in our holiday swimming courses to improve technique and boost their confidence in the water.

If you're heading to Cornwall, you'll find fun pools such as Waterworld in Newquay and Bude Leisure Centre. Holidaying near the Lakes? Windermere Outdoor Adventure Centre is located on the shore of Lake Windermere and offers activities like Paddleboarding, Kayaking and Sailing. Plus, kids aged 7 and above can learn how to swim safely in open water thanks to our Swimsafe lessons.
