Looking for Big Wave, Aqua Challenge or Birthday Parties? Here’s how to book your favourites!

Since moving over to our new systems under GLL, we've noticed that a few of you have found your favourite activities, like the Big Wave, Aqua Challenge and Birthday Parties, a little trickier to find. So we’ve put together this handy guide to help you get back to booking the fun stuff in no time! 

 

How to book 

Booking your favourite session is easy using the Better UK app (available in your app store) or through our website. 

Tip: To get discounted prices for members or residents, make sure you're logged in. 

Booking for more than one person? You’ll need each person’s customer ID, so have those ready! 

 

Big Wave (commonly known as Family Fun Swim) 

Good news — Big Wave is still going strong every Friday night at 6pm!  It’s now listed as a “Family Fun Swim”. 

To book:

On the Better UK app: Tap Book Swimming > Swimming > Leisure Pool. Then select Friday and look for the 6pm Family Fun Swim session. 
On the website: Head to Activities > Swimming and you’ll see “Big Wave” listed. Follow the steps to book the Leisure Pool > Family Fun Swim session at 6pm. 

 

Aqua Challenge (now Aqua Splash) 

The Aqua Challenge you know and love is now called Aqua Splash, and it’s still just as fun! 

Runs weekends during term time and weekdays in school holidays 
For ages 6+ (children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult, 1:1 ratio) 

To book:

On the Better UK app: Go to Activities > Swimming > Aqua Splash, then pick a date and session. 

On the website: Go to Activities > Swimming > Aqua Splash to find a time that suits you. 

 

Birthday Parties 

You can now book birthday parties directly online—no waiting needed! 
We offer weekend parties for: 

  • Soft Play (called Toddlers World Party)
  •  Leisure Pool (called Float Pool Party) 
  • Aqua Splash (called Exclusive Inflatable Pool Party) 

To book: 

On the Better UK app: Tap Birthday Parties and choose your date to check availability. 

On the website: Go to Activities > Birthday Parties, select your option and book your preferred date.
