Join us whist we train for Swimathon at Thornton Heath Leisure Centre

Thornton Heath have launched a programme called "Swim Doctor Learn" aimed at helping adults get fit while having fun in the water. The program is specially designed to teach swimming skills, improve on each stroke and fitness of adults.

The Swim Doctor Learn program is an ongoing swimming course that covers various strokes, breathing techniques, endurance, and fitness training. The program is led by experienced trainers who teach a variety of different ability levels. The Swim Doctor programme is open to all skill levels, with Swim Doctor Learn for beginners and improvers to Swim Doctor Train for more advanced swimmers.

The advanced class has been training to prepare for the annual Swimathon event, which is a national swimming event that raises money for different charities. This year, the Swimathon event will be held on 26th and 28th of April at Thornton Heath Leisure Centre, and the Thornton Heath Leisure Centre Swim Doctor Team is preparing to participate in a 5K and other varying distances.

To prepare for the event, the team has been training rigorously for the past few months. The team members have been practicing their strokes, improving their endurance, and working on their breathing techniques. The team is confident that they will be able to complete the 5K swim in record time.

The Swimathon event is a great way for the Thornton Heath Team to showcase their swimming skills and raise money for charity. The team is excited to participate in the event and hopes to inspire others to take up swimming as a form of exercise.

Thornton Heath is proud to offer the Swim Doctor Train program to adults who are looking for a fun and effective way to get fit. The program has already helped many adults improve their swimming skills and get in shape. The Thornton Heath Leisure Centre team is excited to continue offering the program and helping adults achieve their fitness goals.
