Our aim is to deliver a baby swimming programme that supports bonding & attachment, underpinned by a sound understanding of the developmental, social and emotional needs of the adult and child.

There are 4 different classes for each of the age groups:

Dippers

New & existing adults and babies aged between 3 months to cruising (approx. 12-18months). An adult must accompany the child in the water. To introduce dyads to the water, building confidence and trust between child and parent by introducing Baby & Toddler swimming skills through holds and activities.

 

Splashers

Adults & toddlers who have completed Dippers. Walking (approx. 12-18 months) through to 2 years. An adult must accompany the child in the water. To develop Baby & Toddler Swimming Skills through holds and activities, enabling both child and adult to become more confident in their own abilities to perform skills in the water.

 

Paddlers

Adults & toddlers who have completed Splashers. Aged 2 to 4 years. As well as for toddlers aged 3 to 4 who are not yet water confident. An adult must accompany the child in the water. To master Baby & Toddle Swimming Skills through holds and activities, preparing children to become more independent swimmers.

 

Pre School

For children aged between 3 to 4 years who have completed paddlers or are new to swimming lessons but are confident being in the water without an adult. To introduce Essential Swimming Skills creating safe and confident swimmers able of participating in games and activities wearing buoyancy aids.
