Islington Holiday Activities
This school holiday, why not turn up the fun at Better. We have plenty of family friendly activities available, from splashing about in one of our many pools to junior gym, tennis, holiday club, gymnastics, and football, you’ll find something to keep everyone entertained over the holidays.
Active Play Area at Sobell Leisure Centre
Children aged 10 and under can enjoy a range of amazing features. This includes a go-kart area, climbable mangrove tree, playhouse games room, rope bridge and baby sensory area. There will be a dedicated area for under 2s, providing a safe and fun space for the little ones to explore.
Active Multi-Zone Area at Sobell Leisure Centre
Both kids and adults have even more ways to stay active and have fun with brand-new, cutting-edge Active Multi-Zones taking the place of the former trampoline park adding even more adventure to explore.
Gymnastics
Keep the kids active this during the school holidays with a gymnastics holiday course (age 5-15) at Sobell Leisure Centre. The fun packed programme is designed to develop your childs co-ordination and confidence.
Holiday Club
Join for a fun filled week of activities including football, basketball, swimming and much more. Activities are split between Finsbury Leisure Centre and Ironmonger Row Baths. Daily or weekly bookings are available (9am-5pm)
Swimming
Our swim for all sessions is an ideal way for families to get active together! Sessions are available daily throughout the holidays across our four pools. In addition you can enjoy the pool features at Archway Leisure Centre at our Family Fun Swims! Book online or via the Better UK app. Available at:
Junior Gym
Junior gym is a dedicated session where teens and children aged between 11-17 can access the gym and get active. If you are unfamiliar with any equipment, you can always ask a member of staff for advice. We also have dedicated adult and junior gym sessions where you can train together with your child.

Football Camps
Whittington Park will be hosting children's football camps during the holiday. This is a great opportunity for your child to develop their football skills.

Free Swimming Lessons
Throughout the school holidays Islington Council and Better are offering FREE swimming lessons to Islington residents. This year, the programme will run during Easter, May Half Term, Summer and October Half Term. Lessons are on offer during the school holidays for children aged 4-16.
