Team Eastern are getting ‘Pretty Muddy’ for Cancer Research UK
Members and staff from Eastern Leisure Centre are coming together on Saturday 8th July 2023 to take on this year’s Race for Life, Pretty Muddy event.
For those that are not aware; Race for Life, Pretty Muddy isn’t like any other fundraising event.
It's a 5k (just over 3 miles) muddy obstacle course that everyone, no matter what their fitness level, can take part in!
Participants climb, crawl and slide their way to raise money to help beat cancer.
The team will tackle obstacles such as ‘The A Frame’, ‘Spiders Web’ Cargo nets, Giant Space Hoppers, and a ‘Mud Slide’. Team Eastern is currently made up of 8 members from Eastern Leisure Centre and the local community and is being led by Eastern’s General Manager Nikki.
Nikki says;
“Last year’s event was great fun and it’s an ideal event for us all to do together for a great cause. It’s not too late for you come and join us on the 8th July”.
Team Eastern has a target of £1100 to raise for Cancer Research UK.
