Team Eastern enters a hat-trick for Pretty Muddy.

On Saturday 4th May 2024 Team Eastern’s largest squad is coming together to support one another through challenges and over obstacles to help raise awareness and funds for Cancer Research UK. This year’s fundraiser also marks a hat-trick in participating in Cardiff’s Race for Life, Pretty Muddy event. 

For those that are not aware; Race for Life, Pretty Muddy isn’t like any other fundraising event; 

It's a 5k (just over 3 miles) muddy obstacle course that everyone, no matter what their fitness level, can take part in! 

Participants climb, crawl and slide their way to raise money to help beat cancer. 

Team Eastern will tackle obstacles such as ‘The A Frame’, ‘Spiders Web’ Cargo nets, Giant Space Hoppers, and a ‘Mud Slide’. Over the years Team Eastern has grown bigger and stronger and this year the team is at its largest, made up of 16 members from Eastern Leisure Centre, including staff and the local community and is being led once again by Eastern’s General Manager Nikki. 

Nikki says;   

“Last year’s event was great fun and it’s an ideal event for us all to do together for a great cause. It’s not too late for you come and join us on the 4th May”. 

Team Eastern has a target of £1700 to raise for Cancer Research UK.
