Team Eastern Triumphs at Gower Peninsula Ultra Challenge, Raising £410 for BEAT
On 19th July 2025, Team Eastern proudly participated in the Gower Peninsula Ultra Challenge Series, completing a stunning 10K route and raising £410 for BEAT, the UK’s leading eating disorder charity.
The team, led by Eastern Event Team Leader Daniela, included Eastern General Manager Nikki and dedicated members Sarah and Michelle. Together, they took on the challenge with enthusiasm, determination, and a shared commitment to making a difference.
“It was a beautiful day, the views were amazing and somehow clumsy me managed not to fall over which I was super proud of,” Daniela said with a laugh. “BEAT are a fantastic eating disorder charity which I have helped raise money for over the past five years. I was once that person living with and battling an eating disorder. I turned to BEAT for support and they were amazing.”
Daniela’s personal connection to BEAT has been a driving force behind her fundraising efforts. “I've always felt like I need to give something back, to show my appreciation for changing my life. With support from Team Eastern and Eastern's BETTER community we have helped raise money for BEAT. I couldn't have done it on my own, so a massive thank you to Team Eastern and especially Eastern's General Manager Nikki who keeps encouraging me to keep fundraising and always asking when's the next challenge.”
The Gower Peninsula’s breathtaking coastal scenery provided the perfect backdrop for a day filled with resilience, teamwork, and purpose. Team Eastern’s efforts not only raised vital funds but also helped raise awareness of the importance of mental health and recovery support.
