Meet Mark!

Mark took the decision to join our gym in April 2023 and he hasn't looked back since!

During lockdown he was one of the many people that worked from home, although this has its benefits it can also be extremely isolating.

Mark realised this year that this was having a big impact on him, in his words he was going “stir crazy”.

He decided the time was right to join a gym and he chose to come to us.

This allowed him time out of the house but more importantly time mixing with other likeminded people.

Since joining he has had support and encouragement from other gym members and has made new friends.

He started his fitness programme by training every other day, doing one hour of cardio each session on a mixture of our cardio equipment.

He started slowly and gradually built up his programme over time, increasing his distance and pace. He then began to include resistance training to his programme doing a 50/50 split between cardio and weights.

His every other day then started to become every day as he found himself training seven days per week.

Mark has definitely caught the fitness bug and now he comes twice a day without fail.

He has also noticed the physical and mental benefits that he has been getting from his fitness programme, he’s lost weight, has toned up and feels much better in himself.

To this day Mark has lost just under 5 stone, he feels reinvigorated and much better for taking that first step.

We want to take this opportunity to congratulate him on his journey so far, what an achievement!
