British Junior National Championships - Manchester success

The British Junior National Squash Championships were hosted in Sheffield 30th October – 2nd November 2025. A player from the Manchester Squash Academy made the final – Mitaire. This was Mitaire’s second final in three seasons! The tournament sees the top 32 junior squash players in Britian come together to compete for the National title.

Mitaire won his first two matches 3/0 to get to the quarter-finals. He beat the Welsh no. 1 3/0 in the quarter-final before facing the England no. 2 in the semi-final. The semi-final was a fantastic match which saw Mitaire prevail 3/2 to reach the final. Unfortunately, the final was a match too far against the England no. 1 and top seed.

To add to his performances, Mitaire was awarded the inaugural Spirit of Squash Award for his fair play, respect and sportsmanship. This award was nominated and selected by the tournament referees.
